Introducing the Improved Generation of Bone Healing 

Cranial and facial reconstruction such as as orbital fractures, burr hole defects or fresh craniotomy cuts can present surgical challenges, but it doesn’t have to rely on only traditional methods. Osteopore provides an advanced solution with bioresorbable, 3D-printed implants designed to support natural bone regeneration.

Features and Benefits
Porosity
  • Manufactured with a porous interconnected micro-architecture that demonstrates mechanical properties similar to human cancellous bone1

  • Upon implantation, blood and surrounding cells are absorbed into the pores of the scaffold via capillary action - creating a regenerative niche that is ideal for tissue formation7

Resorbability
  • Polycaprolactone (PCL) is a biodegradable polymer that degrades and resorbs fully in vivo by hydrolysis which is then metabolised by the body8

  • It has a gradual resorption profile, depending on the patients anatomy and metabolism, of approximately 18-24 months5,9

  • Possesses improved resorption rate that maintains mechanical integrity during healing process

Snap-Fit Design
  • Osteoplug is designed to fit seamlessly into the burr hole defects, fresh craniotomy cuts. Osteoplug-C is designed to fit perfectly into the post-trephination burr hole defects. This ensures direct interaction between surrounding calvarial bone, allowing repair cells to use the implant as a scaffold, promoting bone tissue regeneration

Osteoplug® and Osteoplug® - C

Osteoplug and Osteoplug-C are bioresorbable implants, made out of Polycaprolactone, used to restore post-trephination burr hole defect and fresh craniotomy cuts by promoting tissue ingrowth2,3 leading to a shift from purely cosmesis to regeneration of damaged tissues4.

  • It does not require fixation

  • It conforms to a defect, thus maximising direct contact with viable patient bone5

Osteomesh®

Osteomesh is a bioresorbable implant, made out of Polycaprolactone, used for the repair of orbital fractures, leading to a shift in orbital reconstructive surgery from purely repairing bony defects to regeneration of damaged tissues6.

  • Restores the structural integrity of the orbital floor by bridging the defect and preventing orbital content from herniating into the adjacent periorbital sinuses

  • Prevents extra-ocular motility limitations, is malleable and easy for surgeon handling

  • Does not need to be contoured

  • Does not require fixation

  • Can be easily cut with scissors

Custom Made Device (CMD) is used together with Bone Marrow Aspire (BMA) that acts as biologics and growth factors to bridge the critical-size defect.

  • It is intended to provide sufficient mechanical strength, is biodegradable and osteoconductive

  • It is designed to mimic the natural cancellous bone microstructure to promote tissue ingrowth, supporting natural bone healing,
